Nicholasville ---- Ada Marie Hopkins, 84, passed away Friday at St. Joseph Hospital, Lexington. Mrs. Hopkins was born March 18th, 1924 in Lexington to the late Andrew and Susie Burton Johnson. She is survived by five children, Carolleen Johnson, Lancaster, Ronald C. (Freda) Hopkins, Nicholasville, and Jerry W. (Sarah) Hopkins, Callao, Va., Kenneth R. (Charlene) Hopkins, Winchester, and Martha Sue (George) Beaman, Nicholasville.

14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, one sister, Betty (Charles) McDonald, Lexington, and a special friends and caregivers, Vivian Thomas and family

Mrs. Hopkins was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Anna Jo Newton and David Webb Jr. She was a member of Lafayette Church of the Nazarene in Lexington, and enjoyed quilting and playing solitaire. Mrs. Hopkins was a retired private-duty caregiver for the elderly for several years.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 18th at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with the Rev. David McCracken officiating. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Hopkins grandsons, honorary pallbearers will be her granddaughters. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday November 17th from 4 till 8 p.m. at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. in lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations be made to Hospice of the bluegrass.
