Wilmore: Agnes Barnes, 80, died Sunday, at Central Baptist Hospital. Agnes was the loving wife of Elmer Barnes and native of Jessamine County born March 25, 1933, to the late James Franklin and Frances Jones Johns. She was a homemaker that was dedicated to making her family happy, but had also worked in early years at the Burger Shake where she sold their first hamburger and at Parkette Drive In.

Agnes was preceded in death by son David Allen Barnes, 4 sister and 4 brothers. In addition to her husband Elmer she will be missed by daughters Frances Stokley, husband Ernest, Marcella Fay Barnes, and Connie Laber, and son Jeffrey Wayne Barnes, wife Tammy, 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:00 PM Wed. at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Lonnie Moore. She will be laid to rest in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be William, Stephen, and Allen Bryant, Jacob Laber, Anthony Martin, and Mitch Farley.
