Albert Maynard, 64, died unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, Nov. 29. A native of Pike County he was born Jan. 9, 1947, to the late Lenzie and Obera Griffie Maynard. He was a member of the Bible Baptist Church and was part owner of Double A Painting. He was a loving husband to Diane Hudson Maynard for 47 years, a loving father to his 4 children Albert Maynard, Jr., Lindsey Maynard, wife Heidi, Amanda Justice, husband Jim and Dianna Welch, husband Glenn, and loving grandfather to Allison Gillispie, husband Bobby, Aaron Maynard, Whitney Maynard, husband Eugene, Rachel Justice, Cameron Jones, Zach Maynard, Jacob Jones, and William Jackson Welch, great grandfather to McKenzie Gillispie and Lucas Dyer. He is also survived by a brother Danny Maynard, sisters Lilly David, Hazel Gilley, husband Dennis, and Susie Davis, husband Ron, as well as nieces and nephews.

Services will be 11:00 Friday, Dec. 2, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Syd Bates officiating. He will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Justin Sebastian, Ronnie Curtis, Roger Neathery, Aaron Maynard, Eugene Dyer, and Mikey Hager. Visitation will be on Thurs. Dec. 1 from 4 to 8 PM.
