Alice Jane Hazelett

Alice Jane Hazelett, 68, wife of Carol Nevil, left her earthly home on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021 at Baptist Health. She was a native of Wilmore, Jessamine County, Ky born Sept. 22, 1952, to the late Walter and Gladys Spicer Hazelett, being one of ten of their children.  She was a US Army veteran who  loved baking, reading, and the beach and ocean.  Most of all she loved children and her position as monitor on the Jessamine County Schools’ bus for children with special needs.  She idolized her nieces and nephews and loved them as they were her own children.  She leaves to cherish their childhood memories sisters Lucille Booker, husband Wilbur, Bonnie Moody, husband Jerry, Barbara Manley, husband Sam, Patty Hazelett, husband Robert Tucker, Ruby Borquez, husband George, Jenny Boggs, husband Adam, and Carol McClanahan, husband Toby, as well as a great nephew Luke Brezil who spent a lot of time with her. Alice was preceded in death by sisters Loretta John’s and Marlene Hazelett.    The family will greet friends on Friday  Feb. 5, beginning at 1:00 PM until time of her Remembrance Service at 2:30 PM, which will conclude with Military Honors. “If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart.
