Nicholasville: Alice Mae Robinson McQuerry Smith, 70, of Oak Street, died Tuesday, at St. Joseph Hospice Care after a long illness. A native of Shakertown, Mercer County, she was born December 28, 1935, to the late Floyd and Ruby Robinson. Her foster mother was the late Willa Dee Roberts. Alice was the widower of Ronald McQuerry who died in 1960 and Clarence ‘Smitty’ Smith who died in 2005. She was an Avon Representative, enjoyed traveling, and was a member of Roberts Chapel. She is survived by her daughters, Sherry Gardner, and Donna Luke, sons, Ronald D. McQuerry, and Stephan D. McQuerry and wife, Rosemary, five step children and their families, a sister, Roberta Clapitt, nine grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Patrick McQuerry, two half brothers, Bobby Ray Robinson, Dickie Robinson, and one half sister, Patty Robinson.

Services will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 29, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, W. Oak St., with burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family and friends. View Tribute and sign guest book hagerandcundifffunerals.com.
