Alma L. "Susie" Johnson, 58, has fought a good fight and finished her race on Thursday, June 30. Susie was a native of Jessamine County born July 2, 1957 to Anna L. Bentley Davis Durham and the late Virgil Davis, Jr.. Susie loved singing and music, having sung during Nickel Days, and won many trophies for her singing at the Jessamine Jamboree. She leaves these memories and many more with her Mother, her soul mate Albert Durham, children Crystal Shell, Bobby Johnson, wife Kristy, and Jeremy Durham, wife Alicia, grandchildren Dylan Shell, MacKenzie West, Brendon Jones Johnson, Kyndal Johnson, Liam Durham and Mason Durham. brothers William, Buddy, Lewis, Johnny, and Shirley Davis, wife Patricia. Her Remembrance Service will be 10:00 AM Saturday, July 2, (her birthday) at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in the Wilmore Cemetery following the Service. Honoring her as pallbearers are Bobby L. Johnson, Albert Durham, Brendon Jones Johnson, Wayne Bentley, Jr., Michele Wyman, Kathy Bray Hall, Tonya Wade, and Kassie Wyman Peck. Her family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, July 1, at the funeral home. It is an honor for Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. to assist the family in carrying out Susie's wishes for her Service.
