Nicholasville: Alonzo Damron, 75, of Griffin Drive, died Mon., Oct. 27, at Select Specialty Hospital. A native of Martin County he was born March 4, 1933 to the late Levi and Josie Hobbs Damron. He was a retired employee of the University of Kentucky where he worked in the Science Department as an Animal Care Supervisor. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years Evelleen Gray Damron, 2 sons Darrell Gene White and wife Lisa and Roy Mason White, a daughter Sandra Dee Hammock husband Michael, 4 sisters Edith Faye Thompson, Shirley Jean McClatin, Gladys Fern Madron, and Phillys Irene Lakes, 5 brothers Lynn Dale Damron, Robert Lee Damron, Dallas Ray Damron, Levi Damron, Jr. and George Orsin Damron, 2 grandchildren Olivia Paige White and Jacob Allan White and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 4 siblings.
Services 11 AM Thurs., Oct. 30, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Sisk officiating, entombment at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be on Thurs., from 9:00 AM until time of service. Sign guest book at www.hagerandcundifffunerals.com
