Nicholasville: Alvin Ray Collins, 56, died Monday, Oct. 1, at the home of his brother on Locust Heights. He was a native of Jessamine County born March 19, 1956, to Phil Collins and the late Bessie Chapman Collins.

In addition to his father he is survived by a step mother Anna Lee Collins, brothers and sisters Mary Collins Courtney, Kirby Collins, Jimmy collins and wife Lori, Ann Burris, Robert Collins, Michael Collins, wife Melissa, and Stanley Collins, wife Jamie, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance Ceremony will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, Oct. 4, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Burgin officiating. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Stan Collins Jr., Jim Collins, Clint Collins, Bruce Maston, Phil Collins, and Phillip Paul .He will be laid to rest in Wilmore Cemetery.
