Ben Derrick Arvin

38, of Canter Lane, died unexpectedly Sat., June 3, 2006. A native of Jessamine Co., he was born Nov. 9, 1967 to Ben Scott and Nancy Jane McKinney Arvin. He was a member of Mt. Freedom Baptist Church. Ben enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, but above all, he loved his family, and had spent the last 3 years building their dream home.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 8 years, Robin Sue East Arvin, a daughter Elizabeth Marie Arvin, a sister Marietta Arvin Bailey, Wilmore, a brother Dana Scott Arvin and wife Billie Sue, Lexington, his mother-in-law Rita East and husband William Harrison, father-in-law Roland East, nephews Jeremy Scott Arvin and Dillon Scott Arvin, niece Crystale Dawn Harris, and great nephew David Ashton Harris. He was preceded in death by a sister Andrea Arvin.

Services will be 1:00 PM, Wed., June 7, at Mt. Freedom Baptist Church, Wilmore, with Rev. David Hewitt officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Taylor, David Harris, Jeremy Arvin, Dillon Arvin, Dana Arvin, Steve Watts, Ernest Bailey, Marty Allen, and Vince Hulkkonen. Visitation will be 4 to 9 PM, Tues., June 6, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on W. Oak St. and at the church from 11AM until time of service.
