Nicholasville: Betty Corman English, 70, of Keene Rd., died Tues., Aug. 28, at UK Hospital. A native of Jessamine County she was born July 6, 1937, to the late Fred and Hattie Benge Corman. She was a graduate of Wilmore High School and a former employee of Barrett-Midway Sewing Factory and Duncan Machinery. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Bobby English, a sister Mildred Hammond and husband Marion, brother in law Elmer Peel, sister in law Rena Corman, 2 special nieces Shirley Lanter and Joyce Morris, nephew in law Ron Morris and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters Ruby Peel and Katheryn Holman, 2 brothers Jerry Corman and Fred Corman, Jr. and a bother in law Ed Holman.
Services will be 9:00 AM Friday, Aug. 31, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating, burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ron Morris, Autry Bradshaw, Walter Bradshaw, Michael Montgomery, Clint Morris, and Shannon Lanter. Visitation will be on Thurs., Aug. 30, from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
