Betty Jo Miller, 69, widow of Johnnie Miller who died in 2001, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Nov. 26, at Ephriam McDowell Hospital. She was a native of Jessamine County born Oct. 17, 1944, to the late Hilton and Irene Hager. Betty Jo and husband Johnnie and their family were dairy farmers in Gravel Switch for many years. She was former member of Nicholasville Baptist Church. She leaves to cherish her memory a son Mike Miller, wife Janie, God Son Billy Joe Hays, grandchildren Michael Todd and Therese Jo "TJ" Miller, brothers Hilton "Dink" Hager, wife Martha and Burch "Dude" Hager, wife Christie, nieces June White, Kelly Fite, Laura Sponsil, Jackie Hager, Lee Hager, and Carla Hager Morgan, and nephews Brian Ray and James Sherman Hager. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Johnnie after a Graveside Service to be held at 1:00 PM on Tues. Dec. 3. Her family will receive friends at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 4:00PM on Monday and from 11:30 AM until time of service on Tuesday. Honoring her as pallbeaers will be Brian and James Hager, Shannon, Tim, and Scott Miller, Jason Garrett, Michael Jo Todd, Cathy Hubbell, and Whitley Smothers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny "Tuck" Bruner, Paul and Susie Miller, and Mary Lou Hays. Donations may be made in her memory to Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
