Betty Clay Johns Patterson

Betty Clay Johns Patterson, 74, wife of Clarence Kenneth Patterson, entered into eternal rest at the University of Kentucky Hospital, A native of Jessamine County she was born Sept, 9, 1939, to the late Wesley and Maude Hatton Johns. Betty was a homemaker and loved to read which caused her to collect many books and she also loved to collect dolls especially Barbie dolls. She leaves to cherish her memories daughters Donna Lynn Casey Turner, husband Roger and Angela Kenelle Patterson Sweet and partner Tammie, step daughter Karen Jean Patterson, husband Richard, 3 grandchildren Jason Flesher, Amanda Releford, and Neal Patterson 13 great grandchildren, and a brother Earl Houston Johns, wife Marcey. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter Beth Thomas. There will be a Service of Remembrance for Betty on Tuesday, March 4, at 1:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home by Adam Alexander. She will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring Betty as pallbearers will be Roger Turner, Neal Patterson, Michael Thomas, Devin Sweet, Michael Sweet, David Darby, Derrrick Releford. Honorary Bearers will be Carol Estes, Roger Patterson, Dora Bruner, Earl Johns, and Gene Black. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, March 2. Flowers are welcome but donations may be made in her memory to the Arthritis Foundation, 1330 W. Peachtree St. Suite l00, Atlanta, Georgia 30309.
