Ms. Billie Sue Yates

Billie Sue Yates left her earthly home on Nov. 17, 2016, at the age of 82. She was a native of Fayette County and lived much of her life there and in Jessamine County born July 22, 1934, to the late Augustus Stanley and Evelyn Lucille Sharp Brumfield. Billie Sue enjoyed drawing and studied art at the University of Kentucky, dancing, cooking especially making homemade candy, and spending time with her family. She had a love for animals and they for her and was known by her family as the “animal whisper”. She will be terribly missed by her children Kathy Turner Wright, Troy and Mark Yates, grandchildren Zach Harris, Mitch, Hailey, Madison, Paige and Hanna Yates and great grandson Ryland Yates. She was preceded in death by a grandson Kenny Harris. She will be laid to rest with her parents in Maple Grove Cemetery with a private family Service. Donations may be made in her memory to your local humane society.
