Bobby Gene English, 81, widower of Betty English who died in 2007, joined her in eternal rest on Wed. Jan. 15, at the RJ Corman St. Joseph Ambulatory Center. He was a native of Jessamine County born Aug. 11, 1932, to the late Buell and Valeria Warner English. , a Bobby was a retired employee of IBM, a veteran of the US Air Force of which he was very proud, and an avid fisherman. He received great delight in wearing his orange UT hat wherever he went knowing he was going to cause a stir. Survivors include nieces Joyce Morris, husband Ronnie, Shirley Lanter, brother in law Marion Hammond, sister in law Rena Corman, along with several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. A Time of Remembrance will be held at 12:30 PM on Tues., Jan 21 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. His family will receive friends on Mon. Jan. 20, from 4 to 8 PM.
