Bonnie Brewer Dean, 77, widow of Charles David Dean since 2011, joined him in eternal rest on August 8, 2022. She was a native of Lexington born Nov. 5, 1944, to the late Woodrow Shirley and Janele Dalzell Brewer. She was a graduate of Bryan Station High School and retired employee of the City of Nicholasville where she was City Clerk for 33 years until her retirement in 2000. After retiring, she enjoyed reading, traveling with girl friends and spending time with the light of her life, grandson Taylor Kanatzar, who will cherish her memory along with her daughter Macey Kanatzar and special friend Dennis Fox. Bonnie also leaves her memory with friends Tom Caulkins, William Miles Arvin, Donna Davis, Judy Drakeford, Mark and Holly Wilson, Shirlean Herron, Mary Hall, and many cousins and extended family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter in 1982, Shelley Denise Dean. Her family will receive friends on Monday August 15, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home & Cremations beginning at 4:00 PM and ending at 7:30 PM, at which time there will be a Memorial Service . “You’ll never forget the sound of your Mother’s voice, the gentleness of her touch, for they let you know you were loved.” Flowers are welcome but the family suggests contributions be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators in Bonnie’s memory. Sign her guest book at www.hagerandcundifffunerals.com. Hager & Cundiff values the trust and loyalty given to us by Bonnie’s family to care for her cremation arrangements.
