Brandon Scott Ogden, 27, husband of Ashlyn Murphy Ogden departed from his earthly home on Sat. Oct. 11. He was a native of Jessamine County born Oct. 6, 1987, to John Scott and Lori Ellen Johnson Ogden. Brandon was an outdoor guy and loved to hunt, fish, and help on the farm. He was a dedicated father to his children Layne Scott and Adalyn Belle Ogden. He loved playing outside with them and just enjoying their laughter and all the funny little memories that children give to their parents. In addition to his wife, parents, and children he leaves his memories with 2 sisters Rachael and Grace Ogden, father and mother in law Mark H. and Debbie Murphy, paternal grandparents Willie and Johnetta Ogden, maternal grandparents Arnold and Elizabeth Johnson, paternal great grandmother Marie Hager Preston, maternal great grandmother Kate Blakeman, brother in law Chad Murphy, Preston and Becky Ogden, Josh and Jessica Whitehead, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family members. He was preceded in death by a great grandfather John S. Preston and great grandparents Jerome and Evelyn Ogden. His Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Wed. Oct. 15, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and he will be laid to rest beside his great grandfather John Preston in Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Chris Riggs, Jarod Walker, Travis Greer, Garrett and Preston Ogden and Ryan Stephens. His family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 14. Donations may be made in his memory to Celebrate Recovery at Southland Christian Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve Brandon's family.
