Brenda Fay Smith Mustaine, 65, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 19, 2021, at the Frankfort Regional Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Lexington born Sept. 29, 1955, to the late Roscoe Conn, Sr. and Edna Mae Richmond Smith, being one of their 15 children.  She was a member of Cedar Top Baptist Church and a homemaker who spent her time caring for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She loved talking on the phone to her friends even into the late night, taking rides in the country, dancing, gardening-both flowers and vegetables, as well as working crossword puzzles. She will be missed by her children Aldonica Lea Venus Kiger, husband Robert, Jason Dewayne Adams, wife Melissa, Buell Kincaid Adams, wife Angel, and Sara Renee Norman, companion Waylon, her 21 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren, with one more arriving soon.  She leaves her childhood memories with her surviving brothers and sisters Bobby Smith, wife Karen, Joyce Turley, Elwood Smith, Roscoe Smith, Jr., Roger Smith, Patsy Kozack, Juanita Steele, Jeannette Creel, and Jimmy Smith, wife Mildred.  She is preceded in death son Aaron Mitchell Santos, her stillborn twins, brother Frank Smith and 3 sisters Bernice Jennnings, Jean McCain Smith, and Patty Lovings. A Remembrance Service will be held 12:00 noon at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home on April 24, and she will be laid to rest with her baby son Aaron in Lexington Cemetery following the service.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be Buell Adams, Timothy Norman, Jason Adams, Robert Kiger, Aldonica Kiger, Kierstin Reynolds, and her fiance William Howard Krall, and Sara Norman and her companion Waylon Thacker.  Her family will greet friends on Friday, April 23, beginning at 5:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM.  Donations may be made in her memory to the Cedar Top Baptist Church, 108 Scott St., Wilmore, KY 40390. “If ever there comes a day where we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll  stay there forever.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home values nothing more than the trust given to us by Brenda’s family to care for her arrangements.

In accordance with CDC guidelines the family requests masks be worn and visitors use social distancing.
