Nicholasville: Brian Franklin Cox, 40, of Ash Court, died Fri. Dec. 5, at his home. A native of Jessamine County he was born May 31, 1968, to Brenda Woods Cox Cobb and the late Kenneth F. Cox. Brian was a member of the Nicholasville United Methodist Church and a 1986 graduate of Jessamine County High School where he was a member of the Golf Team. As a young boy he was active in the Jessamine County Little League programs thus instilling in him an enthusiasm for sports throughout his adult life. In addition to his Mother Brenda Cox Cobb and husband Gordon he is survived by his maternal grandmother Mary Woods, a daughter Courtney Grace Cox, a son Tyler Franklin Cox, , a brother Eric Shane Cox, wife Jessica, their children Kennedy Leigh and Colton Lane Cox, and a special aunt and uncle Lynn and Jerry Lawson. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Tullie and Christine Cox and his maternal grandfather Augustine Woods.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wed. Dec. 10, at Nicholasville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mark Cox, Steve Cox, Jonathon Miller, Jim McDaniel, Brian Welch, Cobi Lawson, Angela Lawson Roberts, Wesley Cobb and Martin Cobb. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Tues., Dec. 9, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home and on Wed. from 11 AM until time of Service at the Church. Contributions may be made in his memory to the Nicholasville United Methodist Church Bldg. Fund.
