Carol Lynn Seamands, 76, loving wife of Stephen A. Seamands for 54 years joined her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  She was the daughter of Edison D. and Kathleen P. Amstutz, born March 3, 1948 in Akron, Ohio.  Carol attended First Alliance Church in Lexington and was retired from the Jessamine County Board of Education, where she taught second grade and kindergarten. She loved most when her entire family including children, spouses, and grandchildren could gather at her house, always commenting on how blessed she was and how good God was to her.  She would often share about her childhood memories growing up in Wadsworth, Ohio and spending summers at Beulah Beach Camp on Lake Erie.  Carol was very proud of her children Matthew Seamands, wife Pam, Jason Seamands, wife Dawn, Joey Seamands and Katie Durante, and Stephanie Sterrett, husband Bill, as well as her eight grandchildren: Kayla Seamands, Andrew Seamands, Daniel Seamands, Hannah Seamands, Allie Seamands, Will Sterrett, Jack Sterrett, and Graham Sterrett.  Brother Roger Amstutz, wife Judy, and sister Margo Tosh, husband Dan, will always remember their fun times with Carol. She will be remembered by many extended family members, friends, and colleagues for her playful, fun-loving humor.  Carol was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Blair and brother-in-law Jim.

A Memorial Service will be held in Estes Chapel, 226 N. Lexington Ave., Wilmore, KY on Monday, May 20th at 11:00 AM, with a greeting-of-friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Inurment will take place following the Service in Wilmore Cemetery. The family suggests donations be made to Bethany Mission Society (https://bethanymissionsociety.org/) in Carol’s memory. “Where ever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is privileged to care for the cremation of Carol.
