Carolleen (Hopkins) Johnson

Carolleen Johnson, 80, widow of David Webb and Hugh S. Johnson, went to walk the streets of gold with them on Friday, March 4, 2022. She was the daughter of Arthur “Red” and and Ada Johnson Hopkins, born May 18, 1941. She was a long time resident of Garrard County and was self-employed as a caregiver.  She was a former employee of Dixie Cup.  She loved taking care of babies and enjoyed quilting, fishing, and camping.  Carolleen will be fondly remembered by her children Jerry Wayne Johnson and Cathy Marie Johnson Turner, grandchildren Charles and Chris Preston, Jeff Bell, Wesley “AJ” Johnson, Tabitha Keplinger, and Candi  Jo Johnson, great grandchildren Riley, Gabe, and Clayton Preston, Hugh and Colton Johnson, Zander Allen Keplinger, Emily Duvall, Layla Potter, Octavia Keplinger and Alexis Bell. She also  leaves her childhood memories with brothers Ronald Hopkins and Kenneth Ray Hopkins.  She was preceded in death by daughter Anna Jo Newton, son David Webb, Jr., brother Jerry Wayne Hopkins,  sister Martha Sue Hopkins, great grandson Peston.   In accordance with Carolleen’s wishes, cremation with no service was chosen.  “Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure. She will be missed beyond measure.”  Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the loyalty and  trust given to us by Carolleen’s family to care for her arrangements.
