Charles Edward Niceley, Jr.

Charles Edward Niceley, 66, husband of Connie and father of Melissa Sparks, husband Dejuan, Crystal Michelle Niceley, and Shannon Marie Nicholson, husband Billy, left his earthly home on Saturday, May 12, 2018.  He was a native of Mt. Vernon, KY born Feb. 23, 1952, to the late Charles Edward, Sr. and Rissie Brock Niceley.  Charlie was a former employee of Faulkner-Fain, where he was accomplished at staining, painting and woodworking.  Charlie loved working with wood even at home and had a shop in his backyard, along with the garden he passionately worked.  He also liked to fish and hunt.  He leaves his memory with grandchildren Brooklyn, Brianna, Caitlyn, and Hannah Smith, Trevor, Jacob, and William Nicholson, James, William, Jasmine, and Alyssa Mitchell, 4 great grandchildren, sisters Jean, Kathy, Beverly, brothers Robert Glen and Bill along with numerous nieces and nephews.  A Remembrance Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, May 17, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  Charlie will be laid to rest in Oak Hill Cemetery at 2:00 PM following the Service.  His family will greet friends starting at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 16.  “If I should go tomorrow, it would never be good-bye, for I have left my heart with you”.  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Niceley family.
