Charles Ernest Sparks, 69, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Jan. 9, at the VA Hospital on Cooper Drive. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife and life partner of 24 years Margaret Pantaleone Sparks, children Timothy Sparks, Richmond, Charles Allen Sparks, Utah, Rebecca Minto, Richmond, step daughters Jennifer Hallee, Amanda Butler, and Nicole Tangara, all of Lexington sisters Marjorie Pearson husband Jasper, Beverly Tracy husband Leslie, and Stella McCay husband Danny, brothers Kenneth and Jerry Sparks all of Madison County, 4 grandchildren which includes Timothy A sparks, Jr. who had lived with his grandparents. He was a native of Madison County born Dec. 16,1944, to the late Pleas and Mary Hollingsworth Sparks, a retired truck driver and a diabled US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam. He was an outdoor person who loved hunting, fishing and camping. A gathering of his family and a Remembrance will be held be held on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 11:00 AM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.
