Charlotte Ann (Mattingly) Harris

December 25, 1952 — September 10, 2019

The home going of Charlotte Ann Mattingly Harris took place on Sept. 10, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family.  She is the loving wife for 33 years to Kenneth Royce Harris.  A native of Danville, KY she was born Dec. 25, 1952, to the late Garland and Naomi Summitt Mattingly.  She was a former employee of the Health Department in Jessamine County and Boyle County, serving as a Records Clerk and Deputy Clerk, as well as Caretenders and Nurses Registry, where she was a records clerk.  Charlotte loved fishing—her favorite catch was catfish, which inspired her and Kenneth to move to the lake to spend more time with their favorite activity.  In addition to her husband, she will be fondly remembered by her mother-in-law Hattie Harris, and children Chrishana “Christy” Dunaway, Amy Leanne Burkhart, step children Jason Alan Harris and Kendra Rochelle Harris. Her grandchildren Kevin, Michelle, Amber, Kayla, Cassie, Trenton, and Caden, and great grandchildren Alivia, Nolan, Avery, Gracelyn, Ethan, Brayden, Johnathan, Christian, and Vanessa will treasure her memory.  The family has chosen cremation with a Remembrance Memorial at 1:30 PM on Thursday, Sept. 19, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home.  The inurnment will take place following the service at Camp Nelson National Cemetery.  They will greet friends beginning at 12:00 noon on Thursday prior to the Service.  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Charlotte's memory, as this is an organization she faithfully supported. “Her life was a blessing and her memory a treasure”.  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is privileged to have been chosen by the Harris family.
