Christine Morgan Clem, 89, loving wife of Richard Clem for 47 years entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 24, at their home. She was a native of Bath County born Oct. 5, 1924, to the late Willie and Bertie Gray Morgan. She was best known for her strawberry patches, she was the baker at the school cafeteria for several years where she shared her wonderful homemade treats with many children, and for eight years she was a personal caregiver at Rose Terrace Lodge, in addition to taking care of her own children, grandchildren and husband. In addition to her husband she leaves to cherish her legacy daughters Faye Halloran, Richard Clem II, wife Sherry, Donna Cook, husband Floyd Wayne "Butch", and Jennifer Holland, husband Kelly, grandchildren Jill Barnett, Melissa Cook, Ricky A. Clem III, wife Tina, todd Curry, wife Leisa, Billie Clem, Caitlin Grose, husband Morgan, Ian Brandewie, Mike Clem, Andrea Cook, Addison Holland, Garrett Holland and Katina Sidles, 16 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, sisters Mary Sargent, and Dorothy Thompson, brother Millard Morgan, wife Betsy and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Billie Jo Wood, sister Anna R. Morgan, brother Ed Morgan, grandson John Mitchell, and brother-in-law Gordon Thompson. A Remembrance Ceremony will be held 1:00 PM Monday, April 28, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Todd Curry, Beau Curry, Zack Barnett, Ricky Clem, Morgan Grose, and John Sidles. Honorary bearers will be Ian Brandewie, Jeff Moberly, Carlton Gay, Jeff Carroll, Billie Clem, Bobby Sallee, and Gary Young. Christine will be laid to rest at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.
