Lexington: Christine Gretter, 91, of Garden Springs Dr. died Monday, April 25, at North Pointe Nursing Home. A native of Wilmore, Ky. she was born May 16, 1919, to the late Elmer L. and Nannie Elizabeth Lowry Penn. Christine was a member of the Wilmore Presbyterian Church and a retired operator for GTE. Survivors include a special friend Wesley DeRosett, her church family at Wilmore Presbyterian Church and Cindiee Cornett who did many special favors for her while volunteering at North Pointe. She was preceded in death by sisters Nellie Herriford, Katherine Penn, Virginia Reynolds, Elizabeth Penn, and Anne Edwards and a brother John M. Penn .

Services will be 1 PM Thursday, April 28, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Beth Garrod-Logsdon officiating. Entombment will be at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring her as pallbearers will be members of the Wilmore Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Wed. at the funeral home.
