Clara Elizabeth Hopper, 104, died at Sayre Christian Village on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012. She was a native of Scott County daughter of Lee and Rose Heintz Flack and was born July 28, 1908.

She was a long time resident of Jessamine County where she worked with the Adult Training Center and raised her family with her husband Glen Hopper who died in 1966. She was a member of Roberts Chapel, Homemakers Club, the Senior Citizen Center, and was known as the best pie maker in Jessamine County for her cream pies. She loved sewing, crocheting, quilting, and taking care of the family.

She is survived by her children Edna Bradley, Somerset, Mary Sue Hopper, Lexington, Cecil Hopper, Ohio, and Fred Hopper, FL, a sister Frances Guy, Winchester, 12 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 21 great-great grandchildren,10 great-great-great granchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Glen Hopper, Jr., brothers George and John Flack,Russell and Logan Guy,sisters Mary Middleton and Anna Mae Hicks,and grandson Cecil Ray Hopper

Her Service of Remembrance will be 1:00 PM on Monday, Sept. 17, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with grandson Rev. Richard Stipe officiating, and will be laid to rest beside her husband in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Family members will honor her as pallbearers.

Visitation will be on Sunday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 4 PM at the funeral home. Flowers are welcomed but donations may be made in her memory to Roberts Chapel.
