Nicholasville: Curry Gill, 72, of Catnip Hill Pike, died Mon., Sept. 17, at Central Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Jessamine County born July 23, 1935, to the late John Sparks and Minnie Cuzick Gill and was the widower of Bernice B. Sullivan Gill who died in 1995. Curry was a retired self employed mason having worked in and around Jessamine County for many years. He loved being with his grandchildren and collecting useable cast off items. Survivors include his son Morris M. Gill and wife Sandy, a sister Elizabeth Bray and husband Walter, Indiana, 3 grandchildren Morris M. Gill II, Timothy William Gill, both of Nicholasville and Amanda Schwinn Gill, TN., a great grandson Joey Schwinn, TN., and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 15 brothers and sisters.
Services will be 1:00 PM Wed., Sept. 19, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Bray, Jackie Alexander, Alvin Gill, Marcus Stacy, Daniel Bray, Roy Aldridge, and Timothy Gill. Honorary bearer will be Morris Gill II.
