Curtis Strange, 73, of Versailles entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 20, at Baptist Health Care. He was the loving husband of Lynn Strange and devoted father of Terri Cox Troutman, David Strange, wife Dianna, Krystal Huddleston, husband John, and Sondra Roberts, husband Jason, Pa to his grandchildren Lori Von Gruenigen, husband Greg, Christie Young husband John, Susan Strange, husband Denver Saunders, Melinda Goldey, husband John, Curt Strange, wife Heather, Mary Beth Strange, Joey Johnson, wife CeCe, Sara Huddleston, and Emma Raye Roberts and his 8 great grandchildren. He also leaves to cherish his memories a very special niece Patty Stocker and husband Ralph, numerous other nieces and nephews and special friends John and Dottie McCoy and Roy and Gracie Parrott. Curtis was a native of Nonesuch, KY born Nov. 25, 1941, to the late Robert and Maggie Coyle Strange. He was a life long farmer who loved raising tobacco and as of late had been enjoying his part time mowing job at Hill N Dale Farm. Not one to sit still he also enjoyed fishing in Florida and Nascar Racing. He was a retired employee of Rand McNally after working there for 44 years. Curtis was preceded in death by his sister and brother in law Lucille and Henry Bowles. His family will honor him with a Service to be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, July 24, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Pastor Don Flanigan officiating. He will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring him as pallbearers will be David Strange, John Huddleston, Jason Roberts, Roy Parrott, Joey Johnson, Randy Perkins, Denver Saunders, and John McCoy. His family will greet friends from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23. They have suggested that you pay tribute to him by making a donation to Make A Wish Foundation.
