Nicholasville: David Cobb, 56, Foxwood Dr., died Wed., July 29, at University of Kentucky Hospital. A native of Jessamine County he was born Aug. 20, 1952, to Rice and Pauline Wilcox Cobb. David had been the custodian for Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington for many years and enjoyed gardening and raising birds from which he received his nickname ‘Birdman’. In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife of 22 years Betty E. Cobb, 3 daughters Chandra Roberts, Bowling Green, Latonia Gabbard, husband Gene, Elizabethtown, and Davina Cobb, Nicholasville, 3 brothers William Cobb, Lloyd Cobb, and Daniel Cobb, wife Donna, a sister Dianne Cobb, and 5 grandchildren Tyler, Katie, and Cody Teegardin, Kasie and Joshua Houser.

Services will be on Monday, Aug. 3 at 11:00 AM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Peel officiating, entombment at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Lloyd, Cobb, Daniel Cobb, Danny Cobb, Fred Wake, Roy Bastin. Honorary bearers will be William Cobb, Tony Royalty, and Clay Cobb.
