David Michael Nethery

David Michael "Mike" Nethery, 60, husband of Sarah Drury Nethery, left his earthly home to join his Savior on Wednesday, April 13. A devoted member of Tabernacle Baptist Church, Mike was doing what he liked best for his Church when a mowing accident occurred. He was a dedicated bus driver for the Bus Ministry. He loved the outdoors and had a special enjoyment of wearing his cowboy hats and boots, and collecting knives, guns and tools. He was a John Deer person, alway wearing a shirt with that logo. Mike was known for the nicknames he gave those that were dear to him. He was a native of Shelbyville, KY born August 20, 1955, to the late David and Doris Williams Nethery. He was a self employed truck driver but also a master of any job he attempted. Mike served two years in the National Guard giving of his time to help out when needed. Additional survivors include his step father Jim Westfall, step children Rebecca Reynolds, husband James, and Johnny Vickery, sister Myra and brother Tony Nethery, grandchildren Savannah Seibers, Natalie Leeanne Reynolds, and Evan Neil Reynolds, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister Vicki Nethery. His family will receive friends Sunday, April 17, at Tabernacle Baptist Church from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM at which time there will be a Remembrance Service. A Service and burial will follow on Monday, April 18, at 11:00 AM in the Maple Grove Cemetery. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Tony Isbell, John Wallace, Jason Shumate, Rick Carpenter, Keith Underwood, and Brian Lawson. Honorary bearers are James Logsdon and Steve Black.
