Donna Sue (Sponcil) Davis

Donna Sue Davis, 72, joined her beloved husband Eddie Ray Davis in eternal rest on Thursday July 4, 2024. She had a very strong faith and has worked all her life to join her Lord in Heaven. She is one of 2 daughters of the late Donald and Alvena Sponcil.  Donna was a devoted mother to Jason, mother-in-law to Shari and Gran Gran to Nathan and sister to Kathy Moss and brother-in-law to Rodney. Donna loved being an aunt to her nephews Adam Moss, wife Kristen and William Moss and great niece Hallie and great nephew Parker. She was a member of the Roberts Chapel and was known for her dedication to her Savior, which she held on to all her life.  Donna was also known for her caring and compassionate ways to her friends and coworkers, both at the City of Nicholasville where she was employed for 27 years, and where she later worked for 20 years at the Lib Wilson Insurance Group. Donna loved working in her flower garden, watching UK basketball and being a caregiver and friend to one and all.  A Memorial Remembrance will be held Friday July 12 at 1:00 PM at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, after which she will be laid to rest in Maple Grove Cemetery beside her husband. Honorary bearers will be Sharon Casey, Lib Wilson, Charlene Montgomery, Debbie Hammond, Mary Hester, Judy Drakeford, Joyce Gillispie and Patty Herzog. The family will greet friends on Thursday beginning at 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
