Dorothy Lowery (Graham) Woods

Dorothy Mae LoweryWoods, 89, widow of Ray Woods since 1996 and Billy R Lowery since 1964, joined them in eternal rest on June 29, 2022 after an extended illness.  She was a native of Garrard County born Oct. 30, 1932, to the late Ben Taylor and Mattie Preston Graham.  She was the last of their 4 children and was preceded in death by Wilburn and Ben Graham and Annie Cotton.  Dorothy retired from Hospital Specialties where she worked on the assembly line and was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.   She loved working in the back yard  in her flowers.  She will be fondly remembered by her children Billy Lowery, wife Sallie and Kathy Young, husband Don, grandchildren Shannon Jackson, husband Enoch, Sim Young and Aubrey Young, great grandchildren Phillip and Caleb Jackson.   Dorothy is also survived by sisters-in-law Louise Graham and Elizabeth White.  A Service of Remembrance will be held 1:00 PM Friday, July 1 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home following the Service she will be laid to rest beside her husband Ray Woods.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be Don Young, Sim Young, Billy Lowery, Leslie Murphy, Ron Graham, and Danny Hammond.  The family will greet friends on Friday beginning at 11:00 AM until time of Service.  “ Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasured, she was loved beyond words, and will be missed beyond measure”.
