Edna Sue Dietrich, 88, widow of Lambert Dietrich since 1990, was lifted to Heaven on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. She was a born in Midway, KY, to the late Alonzo Foster and Lillie Frances Brumback Stipp, being one of their 3 children of whom, James "Bud” Stipp and Goldey Bell Phelps, have preceded her in death.  Edna was a former employee of Mayfair Manor for 32 years where she was a CNA.  She attended Chapel Hill Baptist Church, loved to cook (being known for her fried green tomatoes), clean house, fish, and watch all sports--especially UK sports. She is survived by her daughter Lynne Yann, husband Mike, and son Andy Dietrich, as well as grandson David Yann, wife Charlene, great granddaughters Kiley Yann and Olivia Moberly, along with many other family and friends, including GiGi Flores and Angel Flores.  A Remembrance Funeral will be held 1:00 PM Friday July 26, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Brother Willie Laswell officiating.  Edna will be laid to rest beside her husband in Maple Grove Cemetery following the Service.  Honoring her as pallbearers will be Patrick Crisp, Steven Souliegne, Mike Yann, David Yann, Steve Neuman, and Charlie Rogers. Edna’s family will receive friends beginning at 11:00 AM until time of Service at 1:00. “When tomorrow starts without me, don’t think we are far apart because I’ll be right here in your heart.”  Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home would like to extend their deepest sympathy to Edna’s family and friends.
