78, of Dale Dr., died Sun., Feb. 26, 2006 at St. Joseph Hospital . A native of Garrard County , he was born Jan. 14, 1928 and was a veteran of the United States Navy.

In addition to his wife of 60 years, Maxine Young Lunsford, he is survived by his children Helen Guimond and husband Larry, AL, Betty Jalil and husband Mazhar, OH, Margaret Brown and husband Larry, SC, Edna Barr, OK, Barbara Fiest and husband Terry, Elizabethtown, James Lunsford, Nicholasville, John Lunsford and wife Shelia, Nicholasville, Grace Mays, Lancaster, Maxine Logan and husband Tony, CO, Lisa Rice, Lexington, Bill Lunsford and wife Amber, WV, and Michael Lunsford, Lexington, a brother, 2 sisters, 30 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Nelson and Fannie Alcorn Lunsford, a daughter Mary Jean Clough, and 3 brothers.

Services were held Wed., March 1, 2006 at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on Oak St. , Rev. Kenny King officiated, burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery. Visitation was Tues., Feb. 28, 2006 at the funeral home.
