Wilmore: Eleanor L. Holcomb, 81, of Talmage-Mayo Rd., Harrodsburg, formerly of Philips Court, Wilmore, died Sat., May 30, at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg. She was a native of Woodford County born March 14, 1928, to the late Gerald and Edith Buck Minton. She was the widow of William Boyd Holcomb who died in 1986. Eleanor was a member of the Mt. Freedom Baptist Church and a former employee of Fitch’s IGA. Survivors include her 2 daughters Joyce Ann Boss, husband Dwight, Michigan and Carolyn Morris, husband Dale, Harrodsburg, 7 grandchildren Greg Winburn, wife Shelly, Chad Winburn, wife Rebecca, Tammy Holmberg, husband Jeff, Melissa Wyglendwski, husband Jason, Jeffery Boss, Justin Morris, wife Kara, and Coby Morris, 8 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, 2 half brothers, and 2 half sisters.

Services will be 1:00 PM Wed., June 3, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Glenn Figg, Leonard Fitch, and Donnie Welch. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tues., June 2, at the funeral home.
