Elizabeth Donn Beeler

Lexington: Elizabeth Donn Beeler, 78, of Sayre Christian Village, died Thurs., March 5, at the Markey Cancer Center. She was a native of Madison County born Sept 6, 1930, to the late William Hubert and Anna Lee Hisle Kurtz and the widow of John Beeler who died in 1987. Donn was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, the Crossroads Puzzle Group, and participated in the Bible Studies at the Clubhouse of Hager’s Crossing. She was a graduate of Bethel Women’s Jr. College where she was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority. Survivors include her daughter Billie Sue Arvin and husband Dana, Lexington, 2 grandsons Jeremy Scott Arvin and Dillion Scott Arvin and a great grandson Jacob Dalton Arvin.

Her family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life service at 1:00 PM on Mon., March 9 at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Sholar, Rev. James Heard, and Rev. Bill Bales to officiate. Entombment will be at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be John Lindsey Tackett, Jimmy Murphy, Don Carter, Dillion Arvin, Jeremy Arvin and Lloyd Goodlett. Honorary bearers will be the Ruth Morton Sunday School Class, the Wednesday Coffee Group at Hager’s Crossing, the Beta Sigma Phi Alpha Master Chapter, Lyle Rice, and Scott Arvin. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, March 8 from 1 to 5 PM at the funeral home. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
