Nicholasville: Elizabeth Lee Caudill, 84, of Vince Rd., died Sun., April 27, at Royal Manor Nursing Home after an extended illness. A native of Lee County she was born July 23, 1923, to the late Enos and Mertie Belle Hall Congleton. She was the widow of Hubert L. Caudill who died in 2007. Elizabeth was a homemaker, a farmer, and a business woman who helped sell produce with her husband on US 27 for many years. She was a member of Providence Christian Church. She is survived by her son Herbert Marshall Caudill and his wife Martha, Nicholasville and daughter Rita East and her husband William E. Harrison, Lexington, 1 sister Nancye Stamper, Beattyville, 1 brother Luther Congleton, Booneville, 6 grandchildren Robin East Arvin, Kimberly Caudill, Mary Caudill, Tara Archer, husband Andrew, Martin David Caudill, and Marshall Caudill, friend Jennifer Draime, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Services will be 11:00 AM Thurs., May 1, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Johns officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Family members will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be 4 to 8 PM Wed., April 30, at the funeral home. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Staff at Royal Manor Nursing Home for the compassionate care they provided to Elizabeth and the family during her stay.
