Esther Bruner Shearer

Nicholasville: Esther Bruner Shearer, 80, died Mon. Sept. 22, at Otterbein Retirement Community in Lebanon, Ohio. A native of Jessamine County she was born Oct. 12, 1927, to the late Robert and Belia Hurt Bruner. She lived for many years in Winchester, Ky. , was a member of the Winchester First Methodist Church, had been an former owner of Modern Electric Service also in Winchester and retired from PNC Bank in the early 90’s. Survivors include a daughter Sandra Shearer, Fort Wayne, IN., a son Larry Shearer and wife Rhonda, Springboro, Ohio, a brother Bobby L. Bruner, wife Anita, CA., a sister JoAnn Corman, husband Willard, Versailles, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter Dianne Shearer Gatson, a sister Patricia Neal Shearer, and a brother Chester Bruner.

Services will be 1:00 PM Thurs. Sept 25, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Pinkston officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Judson Everitt, Clark Everitt, Michael Shearer, Brandon Shearer, Robert White, and Craig Ridgewater. Visitation will be on 10:00 AM until time of Service at the funeral home.
