Eva Davis Cundiff, slipped peacefully from her earthly home to join her husband Kelly, brothers James and Cecil Davis in her heavenly home. A native of Fillmore, KY, she was the oldest of 3 born to Frank O. and Gertrude Gabbard Davis. She was a member of the McGuire Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star. Eva was a retired teacher having taught in Lee County where she began her career in a one room school and later moved to teach in Beattyville. In 1961 the family moved to Cincinnati and she began teaching at Dulles School where she taught until she retired from the Cincinnati school system. Eva began her college education at Lee's Junior College in Jackson, later received her Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Kentucky University, and a Master's from University of Cincinnati. Upon her retirement she and her husband settled permanently in Nicholasville. Camping, boating, square dancing, and traveling became her favorite activities in between playing with her grandchildren who received the benefits of her teaching career. She leaves her memories with her son Ron Cundiff, wife Diann who considered her as a mother, friend, and mentor, granddaughter Kelli Lynn Canup, husband Mitch and grandson Lee Cundiff DVMD, wife Wendy, her great grandsons who were the light of her life Ben, Drew, and Will Canup and Braden and Jacob Cundiff, a dearly beloved sister-in-law Connie Davis, and favorite niece Gail L Krimm, husband Bernie, as well as other nieces and nephews and extended family members.
