Fenton Claude Prewitt, Jr

47, of Ridge View, died Thurs., May 18, at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. A native of Fort Knox and a long time resident of Jessamine County, he was born Feb. 28, 1959. He was a graduate of Jessamine Co. High School where he ran track and played football, and went on to play football for Georgetown College. He was a member of Edgewood Baptist Church, a former City of Nicholasville Police Officer, and employee of McLane-Cumberland Distribution. Fenton was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed collecting baseball cards, an avid fan of the Cincinati Reds, Cowboys, and the Bengals, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by his parents Jimmy and Julia Ashcraft, his wife of 12 yrs, Tracy Anderson Prewitt, 4 children Timmy, Julie, Maddy, and Will Prewitt, a sister Nancy Parvin, Lexington, 3 brothers Jerry Prewitt and wife Deana, Ted Prewitt and wife Laura, all of Lexington, Arnold Prewitt and wife Janet, Nicholasville, mother and father-in-law Paul and Karen Jones, Jessamine Co., and many special nieces and nephews.

Services will be 1 PM, Mon., May 22, at HAGER & CUNDIFF FUNERAL HOME, on W. Oak St, with Rev. Jim Harrison officiating, burial in Maple Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Branscum, Bowie Taylor, J.T. Prewitt, Justin Prewitt, Clay Cunliffe, Tim Ogden, Manuel Walters, Jr., and Steve Cocanaugher. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Garrett, Steve Sheffield, Mark Walters, Jerry Prewitt, Tom Ogden, and Austin Cunliffe. Visitation will be 1 to 5 PM, Sun., May 21, at the funeral home. Contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
