Wilmore: Frank Rice, Jr. 65, died unexpectedly on Sat. May 26, at the University of Kentucky Hospital. A native of Jessamine County, born May 6, 1947 to the late Frank Rice, Sr. and Leane Curtsinger Rice Sanders.
Frank was noted for his excellent carpenter work and had been an employee of Harney Construction for approximately 20 years he currently was an employee of Fayette Mall Security. He was a member of Wilmore United Methodist Church, and the Blue Grass Sportsman Club, where he was Director of the Muzzleloaders. He enjoyed hunting turkey and deer and spending time with his friends. Survivors include his loving companion of 30 years Jean Cross, sons Frank Rice, III, Brian Keith Rice, grandchildren Cody, Holly and Jesse, sister Pattie Rice Wafford, and close friends Doug and Marilyn Locker. He was preceded in death by half brothers Gene, Jay, and Bobby Sanders and half sister Shirley Sanders Schmidt.
