Fred W. Hopper, 77, loving father of Brian Hopper, left his earthly home on Monday, April 30, 2018, while residing at Lake Mary Health & Rehabilitation Center in Lake Mary, Florida. He was the widower of Almeda “Sissy” Hopper. Fred was a native of Nicholasville, KY born Jan. 26, 1941, to the late Glen H. and Elizabeth Hopper. Always the sports person, he and his son shared many conversations concerning the different UK sports. Being a devoted father, Fred and Brian loved to fish together, as well as boating during the summers when Brian visited with him. Activities were abundant with Fred since he always needed to have a project. Along with son Brian and his mother Nancy True, Fred leaves his memory with step son Chad Anderson, sisters Mary Sue Hopper and Edna Bradley, and numerous nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by brothers Glen Hopper, Jr. and Cecil Hopper. The family will greet friends starting at 4:00 PM and ending at 8:00 PM on Thursday, May 3, at the funeral home. “Why smile in such sadness? Because of the memories, the laughter, the fun, and the reminiscences certain to last”. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Hopper family.
