Freda Sue Riley Standifer, 67, left her earthly home on Thursday, May 19, 2022. She was born in Hazard, Kentucky on May 29, 1954, one of nine children of the late Melvin and Lilie Noble Riley. Freda had a big heart and was always known around the community as “Nana.” She was a huge UK fan and always enjoyed following the Big Blue. She was a strong supporter of military families because her children grew up in a military family with their father serving in the Navy. She leaves wonderful memories with her three children Michelle Hollon, husband Jody, Chris Campbell, wife Lana, and Barbi Campbell-Scott, husband Joshua, her grandchildren Mikey Campbell, Chaz Campbell, Ariel Flavin, Ina Campbell, Kayla Scott, and Marty Scott, and her great grandchildren Asher and Bellamy Campbell. Freda leaves precious childhood memories with her sisters and brothers, Judy White, husband Jim, Evelyn Smith, husband John, Bobby Riley, wife Carmen, Randy Riley, Johnny Riley, wife Angie, and Debby Riley. Besides her parents, Freda was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin “Snook” Riley, Jr. and Eddie Riley. Her family is planning a Remembrance Service at a later date. “You’ll never forget your mother’s face, the stories she told, the lessons she taught, the things she stood for—they are her gift and your legacy.” Hager & Cundiff values nothing more than the trust given to us by Freda’s family to care for them at their time of loss.
