Freddie Douglas Peck

The heart and soul of the Peck family left his earthly home unexpectedly this week. Freddie Douglas Peck 61, son of the late Joe Douglas and Pearl Starnes Peck was a native of Keene, Kentucky born Jan. 17, 1955. He was a US Army veteran, former employee of Elite Pest Control, and member of West End Baptist Church. Freddie is best described as a “big kid” who loved having fun, playing arcade games, and laser tag. He also had a serious side that valued family and friends. He enjoyed hunting, pond fishing, cooking and spending time with his children; Denise Neeley, Kathy Peck, and Stuart Peck, wife Kassie who have many special memories of their Dad a firm but loving person; grandchildren Bryanna Staed, Courtney Griffith, Skylar and Brooklyn Wess, and Jaden Neeley; Marty Peck a nephew that was always referred to as his brother; and sisters Nina Cross and Rena Cromer, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Freddie loved his special friends and companions his dogs Bear, Clyde, and Lady. He was preceded in death by brothers Burl and Ralph Peck and sister Virgie Meers. His family has planned to honor him with a Remembrance Service 1:00 PM Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and he will be laid to rest in Wilmore Cemetery with full Military Honors. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Shawn Dray, Vincent Thomas, Chris Turner, Lewis Crump, Marty Peck, and Mark Cross. Honorary bearer will be Jim Madden. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home is honored to serve the Peck family.
