April 16, 1952 - January 06, 2016
Garry Craig Brumfield, 63, son of the late Oakley Cantrill and Nancy Massingill Brumfield left his earthly home on Wednesday Jan. 6, at Baptist East in Louisville. He was born in Covington, KY on April 16, 1952, and was a resident of Elsmere for most of his life having moved to Mt. Washington in the past few years. Garry dedicated his life to taking care of his parents. He laughingly referred to himself as a Collector of Collections because he thought one man's discards was another man's treasure and all things started out with a purpose but could be used for another purpose. He is survived by a brother Don Turner, nephew Roger Turner, niece Donna Turner Farmer, grand nieces and nephews, a special cousin who served as his caregiver Mary McMahan, husband Rick, cousin and close friend James Link, as well as numerous other cousins. A Remembrance Service will be held on 2:00 PM Sunday, Jan. 10, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest following the Service beside his father at the Brumfield Home Place Cemetery. His family will be greeting friends for an hour before the Service. Contribution may be made to the American Diabetes Association in his memory. Hager & Cundiff is honored to serve the Brumfield family.
