Nicholasville: Gary Lynn Adams, 49, of Kingsway Dr. died unexpectedly Sat., July 28, at Central Baptist Hospital. He was a native of Garrard County born May 13, 1958, to the late Lee and Marie Cox Adams. Gary was an employee of Altec where he worked as a team leader. He was the loving husband of Ruth Ann King Adams for 20 years and a devoted father to Jessica’Lynn. He enjoyed truck pulls and playing with his daughter. In addition to his wife and daughter he is survived by his father and mother in law Bill and Dora King, 5 sisters Stella Estes and husband Bill, Stanford, Joyce Phillips and husband Larry, Stanford, Elsie Adams, Lancaster, Carolyn Davis and husband Bill Nicholasville, Barbara Grimes and husband Roy, Nicholasville, 3 brothers Donnie Adams and wife Connie, Harrodsburg, Richard Adams and wife Linda, Lancaster, and Johnny Adams and his companion Rita Graham, numerous nieces and nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death in 2004 by a sister Jeannie Peavler.

Services will be 1:00 Tues., July 31, at Hager and Cundiff Funeral Home with Rev. Peggy Waggoner officiating burial in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be his nephew and great nephews Brandon Adams, Devin Adams, Allen Mattingly, Michael Johnson, Curtis Grimes, Johnathan Grimes, and James Clark. Honorary bearers will be his brothers in law Bill Estes, Roy Grimes, Bill Davis, Larry Phillips, Billy King, and Mike King. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Mon., July 30, at the funeral home.
