Gena Renee Dunaway Graham, 42, loving wife of Daniel Boone Graham passed from this life and began her new one on Tuesday, May 16, unexpectedly. She was born Feb. 19, 1975, to Carolyn Sue Houp and the late John Harvey Dunaway. Renee was a fun loving person who liked to fish, camp, gardening with flowers and vegetables and growing her maters so she could fry them. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren. In addition to her husband Daniel Boone “Danny” Graham and her mother Susie Houp and step father Bradley, she leaves to cherish her memories daughters Brittany Perdue, husband Zach, Rebecca Penland, husband B.J., Caitlyn Cheek, husband David, Angel Graham, fiance Austin and Jennifer Graham, son Nick Graham; 6 brothers Tommy Dunaway, wife Heather, Ray Whitaker, wife Carla, Craig Whitaker, wife Rita Colette, Nathan Dunaway, Chris Cooper, Brad Houp, wife Dana, 2 sisters Heather Houp and Jennifer Cooper, partner Tracy; 6 grandchildren Rayleigh, Dawson, and Casey Perdue, Abigail and Addison Penland, and Avery Cheek, as well as a maternal grandmother Gene Mae Houp. She was preceded in death by her step mother Tony Dunaway, maternal grandfather Thomas Houp and paternal grandparents Virgil and Lyda Dunaway. A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home, and Renee will be laid to rest in Wilmore Cemetery. Honoring her as pallbearers will be Tommy Dunaway, Craig Whitaker, Ray Whitaker, Nathan Dunaway, Chris Cooper and Nicholas Graham. Honorary bearers will be Bradley Houp, Joshua Houp, Jeffery Graham, Carl Graham, Jacob Houp and Layth Arrasmith. Her family will greet friends from 4 to 8 PM on Friday, May 19 at the funeral home.
