Gene Donald Bluder

Gene D. Bluder, 84, widower of Judith Ann Hilsenbeck Bluder to whom he was married to for 21, years joined her in eternal rest on Saturday, Sept 5, 2020 while living at the  Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center.   Gene was a native of Chicago, IL born Nov. 10, 1935, to the late Frederick and Helen Cerny Bluder.  He was a senior Electrical Engineer for Bechtel Group. Gene was a US Navy veteran having served from 1955 to 1959.  He loved Harness Racing and traveled many places to race, but his favorite track was the Red Mile which was the reason he settled in Central Kentucky. Being from Chicago he had a passion for the Chicago Cubs. He will be fondly remembered by daughters Tiffany Kinney, Tabitha Young, husband Stanley, step children Laura Matthews and John Kleinofen, wife Mary as well as his 11 grandchildren . “What the heart has once known, it will never forget”.
