Gladys Hamilton Eades Lynch

Gladys Hamilton Eades Lynch, 87, formerly of Richmond Ave. entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2014, at the home of her daughter in Lancaster. In 1999 she became the widow of William F. Eades to whom she was married to for 55 years and in 2005 of Edward V. "Brooklyn" Lynch to whom she was married to for 5 years. Gladys was a native of Kings Mountain in Casey County born to Edward A. and Eva Hogue Hamilton on March 14, 1927. She was a cashier and Dairy Manager for K Mart Foods and member of Victory Christian Church. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 680 and the American Legion of which she was very dedicated and loved to volunteer at VA Hospital in Lexington. She was a champion bowler and placed second in the Lexington City Bowl at Eastland Bowling Lanes winning a boat and trailer. Her biggest accomplishment was being a cancer survivor. She leaves to cherish her many memories daughters Joyce Stanley, husband Larry, Willena Jeane Belden, husband Ronnie, Sharon L. Tullar, husband Ken, Patricia K. Whitelow, and Linda E. Crabb, husband Charlie, son DeWayne Eades, 13 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren, sister Mary Walker and numerous nieces and nephews. Gladys was one of 13 children and 11 of her brothers and sisters have preceded her in death. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 2:30 PM on Friday, April 25, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home and she will be laid to rest beside her first husband in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Her grandsons will honor her as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday, April 24, at the funeral home.
