Glenn Wesley Lowry, 58, son of the late Eugene Wesley and Gladys Mae Johnson Lowry, left his earthly home on Monday, Oct. 15, at Baptist Health Care. Glenn was raised in Highbridge where he lived most of his life. He was a custodian for the Jessamine County Board of Education for 23 years and former member of the Highbridge Union Church. His favorite past time was playing golf on the Playstation, watching old westerns on television, reading, drawing, collecting eagles, and refinishing wood items. His time on this earth will be cherished by his sons Dustin Lowry, wife Natasha, Brannon Lowry, wife Allison, and Clinton Lowry, wife Tiffany Berryman, and their mother Mary Lowry Brown as well as 4 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, a step grandson, a brother Fred Lowry, and numerous great nieces and nephews. Glenn was preceded in death by a sister Linda Lou Chism, and 5 nieces Missy Foley, Glenda Gleason, Mindy Chism, Jessica Chism and Kim Cotton. A Remembrance Service will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Bluegrass Memorial Gardens. Honoring him as pallbearers will be Dustin, Brannon, and Clinton Lowry, Melvin Tudor, Ray Whitaker, and Craig Dixon. His family will greet friends starting at 4:00 PM Monday, Oct. 22, at the funeral home. “ If ever there comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart. I’ll stay there forever”.
